this is the sand bar at Bar Harbor, at low tide. One can easily walk or drive across, to Bar Island. This sand bar is how Bar Harbor eventually got it's name.

these granite rocks is the area known as the seawall, on the "quiet" side of the park.
these are very short barnacles growing on the rocks. They keep you from slipping on the rocks, but are very sharp.
these little sea urchins, grow between the granite rocks, at low tide they are accessible. these are under water.
